Elva Elizabeth Shaak, a longtime resident of Lititz, passed peacefully on Saturday, December 03, 2016, at Middletown Home, at the age of 94. She was the daughter of the late John H. & Ellen M. (Strickler) Ulrich. Elva is survived by her husband, Harold S. Shaak, Sr.; her children: Harold S. Jr., husband of Joan; Mary Ellen Hudson, wife of Jim; Stanley R., companion of Pat Rinehart; and Michael D., husband of Diane; a sister, Miriam U. Miller; and numerous grand, great grand, and great-great grandchildren. Elva was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Elva was a long-standing member of IOOF Daughters of Rebekah. She had retired from Sperry New Holland in the early 1980's. She was devoted to her family throughout her life and enjoyed reading, chocolate, traveling, and TV soap operas. A small gathering to remember Elva will take place from 10 to 11AM, Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Brickerville.
