Elma Ruth Groff, 94 years old, passed away Wednesday December 11, 2013. Born on August 13, 1919, she was the last survivor of the seven children of Walter and Ida Hubbs of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Groff.

Elma worked at Hamilton Watch, Schwalm Watch Dial, Meadow Hills Dining House, and The Clothes Tree in Millersville. She enjoyed cooking PA Dutch food, special times with family, summers on Long Beach Island, N.J., gardening, and Old Fashioned's.

She is survived by son Douglas and wife Ann of Myerstown, and daughter Jill, wife of Dr. Thomas Miller, Lancaster. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Sarah Miller of Pittsburgh and Liz Miller Kibler of Marietta.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the compassionate care she received by the staff of Washington 4 at Masonic Village, and Evergreen Estates.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George Street, Millersville, PA 17551. A viewing will be from 9-10 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Conestoga Memorial Park.
