Ellen K. Jobe, 85, known as "Polly" from childhood, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2016, at her home in Lancaster, PA. Born in Sumner, MO, she was the daughter of the late Elmer & Laura Mai (Moffitt) Arnold. She was married to the late Capt. James E. Jobe, USN, for thirty years. Married in Los Angeles, CA, the Jobes traveled the country and through Japan with the Navy. A dedicated Navy wife and mother, Polly enjoyed cooking, entertaining, gardening and flower arranging, and the beach. She was an avid traveler, and loved spending time with family, friends and her cats. Surviving are three daughters: Julia Denise Baldwin, wife of Robert, of Cornwall, UK, Janette Daphne Jobe, wife of Michael O'Gorman, of Washington D.C., and Joyce Danae Buczacki, wife of Theodore, of Lancaster, PA, and three grandchildren, Alex J. Baldwin, of Bristol, UK, and Nicholas E. and Claire E. Buczacki, of Lancaster, and a sister-in-law, Bonny Swank of Missouri. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery, at a date to be determined. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, or to the Navy -Marine Corp Relief Society.
