Ella B. Messner, 84, passed away on April 17, 2014. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Jessie (Deckman) Bowman. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Messner in 2012. Ella and John were married 64 years in January, 2012.

Ella enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed time at the beach and was an avid reader.

Ella is survived by 2 daughters: Linda Newcomer, wife of Douglas, and Cynthia Anderson, wife of James; 4 grandchildren: Mondi Carickhoff, Justin Newcomer, Scott Mitchell, and Jessica Michard; and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Ella was also preceded in death by her son, John D. Messner, Jr. and grandson, Christopher Mitchell.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family with interment at Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster.
