Elizabeth H. Steffy, 88, of Landis Homes Retirement Community, formerly of Millersville, PA, died Friday, February 24, 2006 at Landis Homes where she resided for 11 years.

Born in Manor Township, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and May Sherich Habecker. She was married to the late Chester M. Steffy, who died October 4, 2002.

A homemaker, she was a member of Habecker Mennonite Church. She enjoyed sewing, baking and reading her Bible. Elizabeth loved being with her family, and especially watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Helen M., wife of Rev. J. David Eshleman of Laurel, MD; Mary Jane, wife of James B. Reem of Millersville, and Carolyn S., wife of Michael G. Horst, Lancaster; 9 grandchildren; 12 grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Miller of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anna May Witmer and two brothers, Charles S. and Elam S. Habecker.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the viewing at Landis Homes Retirement Community, East Chapel on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m.  A second viewing will be held on Monday morning at Habecker Mennonite Church. 451 Habecker Church Road, Lancaster, PA, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
