Elizabeth M. Pfautz, 90, of Lititz and previously of Manheim and Duncannon, passed away on February 6, 2015, at United Zion Retirement Community. She was born in Duryea, Luzerne County, the daughter of the late Arthur and Edith (Harrald) Cushing. Betty was married to her loving husband Herbert G. Pfautz, Sr. for 66 years before he passed away in December of 2010. Betty and Herb previously farmed in Lititz and Hershey, and she worked at Hershey Chocolate Factory for 10 years. After their retirement, Betty and Herb moved to Perry County and worked with Herb's brother Dr. Harry Pfautz. While living in Duncannon, Betty was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Golden Age Senior Center, Golden Age Travel Club and Shermanata Grange. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Lititz. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles and bowling. Betty loved to send and receive greeting cards and letters, saving every correspondence that she received. Betty is survived by four children: Herbert G. Pfautz, Jr., of Largo, FL, Linda C. Bomberger, of Lititz, Steven I. Pfautz, husband of Joyce (Forsha), of Manheim, and Terry A. Pfautz, husband of Lisa (Dourte), of Lititz; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her siblings Ethel Nutting, Catherine Rogers, Charles Cushing, Daniel Cushing, Arthur Cushing, Walter Cushing and Thomas Cushing. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service from the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at 4pm with Rev. Jason B. Perkowski officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 3-4pm on Tuesday. Private interment will be in Longeneckers Brethren Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith U.M. Church, 1290 Fruitville Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 or to United Zion Retirement Community, 722 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
