It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth A. (Miller) Ober, known as Betty or Betty Boop, who left us on August 10, 2025, age 70, at Mt. Hope Nazarene Retirement Community. Born on June 9, 1955, In Lancaster, PA. Betty, a woman whose zest for life, fierce spirit, and boundless love touched all who knew her, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, leaving behind a legacy of courage, laughter, and kindness. She faced every challenge with strength and grace, fighting to the very end.

Betty is survived by her three children: Kristi Ober (George Swan) of Ridgeville, SC, Jennifer Furlow (Daniel) of Manheim, and Robert Ober (Meredith Shimp) of Manheim. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Kasey, Bristol, and Carly. Betty will be dearly missed by her sisters: Marianne (Tex) Higgins, Donna (George – deceased) Ernst, and Kathy (Robert) Cain.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Andy; her cherished parents, Maurice and Kathryn Miller; and her faithful dogs, Ozzy and Tucker. She also mourned the loss of her brother-in-law George Ernst and niece Lori Michelle Ernst.

A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Betty touched the lives of all who knew her. Her warmth, humor, and kindness were a constant source of comfort, and her love will remain with us always.

A private service will be held in her honor.
