Elizabeth H. "Libby" White, 91, of Lancaster, PA, passed away at the Lancaster General Hospital on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, with family by her side.

She was born in Five Points, AL to the late William and Grace Trammel Higgins. Libby celebrated 56 years of marriage with her late husband, Marion E. "Red" White, COL., US Army, Retired, before his death in 2001.

Family was most important to Libby. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. She blessed her family with her generosity, grace and was the ideal role model for kindness. Libby enjoyed being a military wife, and served as President of the Officers Wives Club multiple times, domestically and internationally. Libby was a member of Church of the Apostles UCC, Lancaster.

Libby's family includes her son Steven T. White, (wife Elizabeth, daughters Melanie Wirick and Jennifer Noel) of Las Vegas, NV, daughter Elaine D. White, (husband Andrew Assante, daughter Elizabeth Marie) of Sammamish, WA, deceased daughter Beverly E. (husband Ronnie Daniel, sons Brian Christopher and Mark Justice), deceased son Dave A. White, (wife Peggy, daughters Allison Elizabeth, Kathleen David, and Caroline Beverly); and 8 great-grandchildren.

Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery alongside her husband Col. White.
