Elizabeth S. (Betty) Jacobs, passed away at Luthercare in Lititz on December 22, 2024 at the age of 93. Born in Lancaster to Ira P. Fisher and Elizabeth S. Hurst Fisher, Betty lived most of her adult life in Millersville, PA. She was married to Wilmer E. Jacobs for 69 years at the time of his passing in 2022.

Betty was preceded in death by siblings Ira P. Fisher Jr, Robert A Fisher, Elsie P. Bippus, and Nancy Stoe, and is survived by one sister, Rufina Wittle. Betty graduated from JP McCaskey High School and Chestnut Hill School of Nursing. She subsequently worked at Columbia Hospital, in the office of Dr. Milton Lu, and for United Cerebral Palsy. Mid-life, Betty obtained a degree in Social Work from MSU and completed her career working for the Lancaster Co. Office of Aging. She enjoyed trips to Ocean City, MD, hosting family gatherings, and serving on church council and various committees. Betty and Pete were active members of Ascension Lutheran Church, Willow Street.

Betty is survived by daughter Jeanne, husband of Steven Parker, Selinsgrove, and son Peter Jacobs, Lancaster as well as four grandchildren Summerlee, Jedediah, Laura, and Mark and two great grandchildren.

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church or to the Luther Acres Benevolent Care Fund.
