Elizabeth "Betty" Kathryn Hyle, 88, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Conestoga View Nursing Home.  Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Mae and John Armstrong.  Betty was the wife of the late Carl H. Hyle who passed away in November 1992.

Betty liked spending time at the beach and the mountains.  She also enjoyed playing card games such as pinochle.

Surviving is a daughter: Shirley Breniser of Willow Street, PA; a brother: Leroy Dickle of Akron, PA; and a daughter-in-law: Linda Hyle.  Betty was a proud grandmother of six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by a son: Larry Hyle; and a sister: Mary Jane Austin.
