Elizabeth R. "Betty" Chambers, 86, of Lititz went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Landis Homes. Born in Lancaster she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Bigler) Ruof. Betty was a 1948 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School and attended the Philadelphia College of the Bible, now Cairn University and worked in data entry for the former American Missionary Fellowship in Villanova and retired from Armstrong World Industries in 1993. Betty loved to play the piano and was the pianist in several churches in her lifetime. She is survived by two sons Dr. Timothy P. Chambers husband of Cheryl of Williamsville, NY and Rev. Thomas F. Chambers husband of Kathryn of New Holland, PA; five grandchildren Bethany, wife of John Duarte, Sara, wife of Brent Gerig, Christen Chambers, Jeremiah Chambers husband of Monica and Justin Chambers; three great-grandchildren Faith, Josiah and Reagan Duarte and one on the way. Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 10AM in the West Bethany Chapel at Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Rd. Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be private at New Danville Mennonite Cemetery. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
