Obituary
Elbert VanSplinter, 71, of Lancaster, died suddenly Monday, February 3, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Paterson, NJ, he was the son of the late Edward and Martha (Van der Wende) VanSplinter.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Elbert is survived by his children: Martha "Marcie" VanSplinter, wife of Gary Gehrke of Lititz; Ruthann VanOrden and her husband Tom of Lancaster; and Steven VanSplinter of Reading; six grandchildren: Melissa VanDyk, Danielle Chism, Thomas VanOrden, Jr, Amanda and Sarah VanOrden, and Steven VanSplinter, Jr; three sisters and one brother.
All services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National MPS Society, PO Box 14686, Durham, NC 27709-4686.
