Efrain Velazquez, 63, of Lancaster, went to be with the Lord, on Friday, September 25, 2009 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Santiago Velazquez and Juana O. Ramos.

Efrain retired from Tyson Foods in 2003 after 30 years of service. He was a member of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church.

Efrain is survived by 3 brothers; Israel, Jose, and Angel Velazquez. And 7 sisters; Eneida Velazquez, Hilda Diaz-Vega, Migdalia DeJesus, Eva Rivera, Emma Alvarado, Virgenmina Velazquez, and Olga Bailey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church 425 S. Duke St. Lancaster 17602. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from 7p.m.-9 p.m. at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home 414 E. King St. Lancaster 17602 and again on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Interment will follow Mass at Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery.
