Edward E. Mills, 87, of Calvary Fellowship Homes, was called home to be with the Lord Jesus on Sunday, March 26, 2017 after an extended illness. Born in Huntingdon County, Shade Gap, PA he was the son of the late Herbert E. and Sylvia E. (Appleby) Mills. He was the husband of Janet L. (Burdge) Mills married on June 28, 1953. Mr. Mills served in the US Air Force from 1948-1952. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi and Franklin & Marshall College. He was employed by RCA Corp, in Plant Services, for 37 years, retiring in 1989. He was an active member of Calvary Church for over 50 years, and he also held various positions at Calvary Fellowship Homes as a board member, corporation member, committee member and longtime volunteer. Edward is survived by his wife Janet, two sons, Lyle V. of Lake Worth, FL, Kevin L. of Lancaster. Two grandchildren, Andrea Mills and Ashley Grieve, two great-grandchildren, Cody and Nicola Grieve: A sister, Gloria Jean wife of Steve Glasgow of NC. A brother, Carl H., preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Calvary Fellowship Homes, 502 Elizabeth Dr, Lancaster, PA 17601. A viewing will be held from 10-11AM on Monday. An interment service at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery is planned for 2:30PM Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ed's memory to Calvary Fellowship Homes Benevolent Fund at the above address.
