Edna Marie Porter, of Lancaster, PA formerly of Worcester, MA passed away peacefully at the Cambridge Lancaster on Saturday, March 21, 2009. She was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Peterson) Costel.

Edna previously resided in Worcester, MA with her late husband Gardner Porter who passed away in October, 2002. They celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Edna will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She will be remembered as a very loving and caring, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a very special aunt.

She enjoyed precious cherished moments with her family and enjoyed gardening.

We would like to personally thank the dedicated staff and personal care of Cambridge Lancaster, who made Lancaster, Edna's new home.

She is survived by her daughter, Barb Scott, wife of Gary of Lancaster, a son George Porter, husband of Beverly, of Weston, FL, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Service on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pk. Lititz, PA 717-560-5100 at 1pm with Rev. Randy Jenkins officiating. Friends may pay their respects to the family at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
