Edna M. Bowers, 83, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at her Columbia home with her niece and nephew Brenda and Curt by her side. Her husband Charles Franklin Bowers died in 2000.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Emma Conrad Doutrich. Edna worked at the former Hubley Toys, attended Mountville Mennonite Church and enjoyed puzzle books and saving greeting cards she received.

Surviving are 6 children, Dale E., Gerald A., Joyce A. and Steven R. all of Lancaster, Glenn C. of Johnstown and Charlene M., wife of Thomas Griffin of Tire Hill, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her sisters Anna and Ruth preceded Edna in death.
