Edelmira Roman, 89, of Lancaster, PA, passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2018 at her home. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Alejandro Hernandez Luciano and Inocencia Rojas Diaz. Edelmira was the loving wife of 60 years to Eliseo Roman. A member of New Creation United Methodist Church, she was very strong in her faith and enjoyed reading her bible. She enjoyed basking in the sun as the warm weather hit. Edelmira loved her family and took pride in family meals. Surviving in addition to her husband, Eliseo, are children: Nilda N. Serrano, Eliseo Roman, Jr & Miriam Roman-Carvajal; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Miguel Hernandez & Iris Diaz; and various nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by 10 siblings. A visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, March 30 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Visitation will continue from 10:30-11 AM with a Funeral Service to begin at 11 AM on Saturday, March 31 at New Creation United Methodist Church, 10 W. Farnum St, Lancaster, PA 17603. Edelmira will be laid to rest at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
