Eddy Mercedes Cruz, 71, of Lancaster, PA, formerly of Bronx, NY, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019. Born in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and the daughter of the late Florentino Cruz and Juana Rosa Morel. Eddy retired as a dress seamstress in New York. She enjoyed trips to the casino to play slots, visiting the Senior Center and loved the color red. She attended St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Eddy is survived by her two daughters, Mildred Cepeda, of Manheim Township and Sandra Pollock, of Lancaster; four grandchildren; and five siblings. She was preceded in death by four of her siblings. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 AM until 2 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A Catholic prayer Service will begin at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Allan Wolfe. Inurnment will be Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 10 AM in Landis Valley Cemetery.
