Ed "Smirk" Rieker, 75, of Lancaster, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. He was born in Lancaster, the son of the late Edward P. Rieker and Maragret A. (Brennan) Rieker.

Smirk served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and then worked for Coca-Cola for many years as district supervisor of service.

He was a member of Lancaster Commercial Traveler's Association and Red Rose Team of the William Penn Pistol League.

Surviving Ed are his sister-in-law Bridget Rieker, wife of the late Peter Rieker of Lancaster, three nephews, Timothy Rieker, husband of Amy of Lancaster, Daniel Rieker of Lancaster, and Robert Rieker, husband of Dawn of Florida, great niece Riley Rieker, great nephew Louis Rieker and his cousin Susan Harnish, wife of David.

In addition to his parents, Smirk was preceded in death by his brothers Peter C. Rieker and Michael J. Rieker.

Smirk's family will greet friends from 4 to 6 pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Inurnment with Military Honors will take place 11 am Friday, December 20, 2024, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA 17003.
