Earle R. Groff, 88, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Hamilton Arms.

Born in Paradise, he was the husband of the late Florence (Miller) Groff, and the son of the late Reuben R. and Dora (Erb) Groff.

Earle was a Navy veteran of WWII, and was a member of American Legion Post #429 and the US Navy Memorial.

He was employed for a number of years as a mechanic by Angelini & Groff Auto Salvage.

He is survived by a daughter, Carol A. (Kreider) Graham and her husband Kenneth of Lancaster; four granddaughters: Patricia Doster, Penny Bell, Pamela Witmer, and Kimmy Cabry; 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester and Norman Groff.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, October 14, 2013 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz with Pastor Mark Thiboldeaux officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.
