Earl Richard Smith, 78, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on January 25, 2020. He was a loving partner to Florence Long for over 43 years. Born in Greensboro, NC, he was the son of the late Jim and Birty Smith.

Earl loved fishing. He enjoyed racing and spending time outdoors. He was a devoted attendee to the Farm Show each year. Most of all he cherished spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by his stepchildren: Donald Long (Stacy) of New Providence, Theresa Ewing (Donald) of Ephrata, John Long (Pearl) of Lancaster, Mary Easton (James) of Lancaster, Jerry Long (Chris) of North Carolina and Medina Long of Leola; his 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his siblings and daughter Earline King.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
