Earl R. Irvin, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Traditions of Hersehy in Palmyra. Born in Rankin, IL, he was the son of Harry P. and Edna F. (Fisher) Irvin. Earl was the beloved husband of the late Margaret E. Irvin who passed in 2005.

Earl graduated from Rankin Independent High School with the Class of 1940. He honorably served his country as a member of the US Army from 1950 through 1953 during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a machinist repairing printing presses for the former Intelligencer Printing Company in Lancaster, from where he retired after many years of service.

Earl is survived by his son, Wayne Irvin and his wife Deb of Lancaster, and a son, Jeffrey Irvin. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Jennifer Contes and her husband Rafael, and Rachael Eshleman and her husband Kevin, and two great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Roberts and Annaleigh Contes. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by all of his siblings.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
