Earl W. Bowman, Jr., 84, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at home following a lengthy illness. Born in Lancaster to the late Earl and Iva (Immel) Bowman, Sr., he was the loving husband of Jeanette (Hollow) Bowman. Earl worked as a 1st class lineman for PP&L for 41 years until his retirement in 1993. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed hunting in the mountains with his friends, going to breakfast with his fellow retired co-workers who knew him as "Zeke," and loved watching baseball and Westerns on TV. In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by 3 children: Ronald W. Bowman, Lancaster; Randy E. Bowman, Lancaster; and Donna M. Ortman, wife of Chip, of Mt. Joy; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet Smith, of Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Peggy Henry, of Willow Street; and many nieces and nephews. Earl was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Wickenheiser. Interment will take place at New Providence Mennonite Cemetery.
