E. Jacqueline (Queroli) McKeeman died peacefully at Willow Valley Community on June 1, 2024, at the age of 99.
Born in Philadelphia April 2, 1925, she enjoyed the local recreation center where she participated in basketball, gymnastics and swimming. At 16 she became a city champion in the freestyle and also became a city pool lifeguard. Jackie graduated from Bartram H.S. where she was a cheerleader and played basketball while working at Horn and Hardart.
After H. S. she took literature classes at the University of Pennsylvania until she started employment at the Socony-Vacuum Oil Co.
Jackie married A. Raymond McKeeman (deceased) in 1948, moved to Ridley Township in 1956 where they raised their 3 children. Jackie and Ray were loving parents and supported their children at countless games and track meets as well making the sacrifices for their children's success.
Jackie was a member of the local garden club, a Brownie leader, a deacon in her church and worked part-time in a jewelry store. She was an avid bridge player and competed in tournaments earning masters points
Surviving are 3 children: David McKeeman (Debbie), Paula Marshall (Buzz), Stephen McKeeman (Jeanne deceased), 4 grandchildren: Shawn (Ashley), Kevin, Tyler (Katie), Matthew (Corey engaged) and step grandson Colin (Beth) and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother David Queroli.
A graveside service honoring Jackie will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Guests are to meet at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584 at 11:30 AM to process to the graveside. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are encouraged to be sent to the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, 27 E. Main St. Hohenwald, TN 38462 or the Salvation Army, 131 S. Queen St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
