E. Pearl Charles, 81, formerly of Lancaster , PA, passed away on September 2, 2015 at Arden Courts of Susquehanna, Harrisburg. Born in Strasburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ira & Kathryn (Wenger) Shaub. Pearl was the wife of the late Harold K. Charles who died in 1994. Pearl attended Long Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and puzzle books. She also enjoyed cooking at family gatherings and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Pearl is survived by a daughter, Gale L. Blefko, wife of Tom, of Hummelstown, PA; four grandchildren: Amber Blefko, Megan (Charles) Liptak, wife of Andrew, Ben Charles and Chris Charles; and one great-grandchild: Bram; and a sister, Catherine Ernst of Lancaster, PA. Pearl is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth R. Charles; a sister, Elva Brown; and two brothers, Sam & Floyd Shaub. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Friends will be received from 10:30-11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Long Memorial United Methodist Cemetery.
