Dwight G. Fetterhoff, 91, of Lancaster, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Masonic Health Care Center, where he resided for two years. Born in Tower City, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Harry and Jennie Lebo Fetterhoff. He was the husband of the late Mary Zangari Fetterhoff.
During World War II, Dwight served in the United States Army Air Forces in the European Theatre of Operation.
Dwight and his wife were co-owners of Fetterhoff's Pizza Shop, Lancaster, PA . Prior to this work, he and his wife were co-owners of Delta Cut Rate Store, Delta, PA.
His organization affiliations included membership in the American Legion, Knights of Columbus as a 3rd Degree Member, and participation in activities of St. Philip's Men's Club.
Mr. Fetterhoff was an avid hunter and fisherman, and also enjoyed making American Flyer train parts.
Family was important to Dwight. He is survived by his children: Donna Robinson , and Dwight G. Fetterhoff II husband of Gail; 4 grandchildren: Shane Robinson, Todd Robinson, Mark Fetterhoff, and Jody Fetterhoff; 3 great grandchildren: Kylie, Keira, and Keegan Robinson; and 1 sister: Winifred Hoffman.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Masonic Village for their care of Dwight during his residency.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, April 18, 2011 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA. at 10:30 A.M. Family and friends may gather at St. Philips's Church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the services. Kindly omit flowers.
