"Doug" Kraybill

Douglas A. "Doug" Kraybill, affectionately known as "Catfish", passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 71. He was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the son of Herbert K. and Nancy (Mast) Kraybill. Doug was the loving husband of Barbara (Lemishko) Kraybill, with whom he shared 18 wonderful years of marriage.
After graduating Warwick High School in 1970, Doug dedicated many years to the stencil production department at Armstrong Flooring before retiring in 2006. He was an unwavering supporter of unions and was a member of Local 285 United Steel Workers. Doug was passionate about sports, with a special love for the New York Yankees, Baltimore Colts, Boston Celtics, Penn State football and Duke basketball. It brought him great joy spending time with his grandchildren, working in his garden, and being called, "Coach Kraybill".
In addition to his wife, Barbara, Doug is survived by his loving family, including his children and their spouses: Jasmine Kraybill (Michael Kauffman), Dashia Kraybill (Damon Davis), Andre (Rachel)Kraybill, Angelo Matthews, Shanicka Kraybill, Keandra King, Christina (Josiah) Rosales, Chuck (Brittany) Bellitto. He also leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren: Sierra, Damien, Adelicia, Ari, Solomon, Magdalina, Andre Jr., Shepherd, Aubree, Ellyana, and Ruby. Doug is further survived by his siblings: Stephen (Bonnie) Kraybill, Nancy "Beth" Sabb, and Kathy (Bill) Szydlo.
A viewing in memory of Doug will take place on Friday, November 3, from1PM-2PM at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Following the viewing, a time of sharing and reminiscing will commence at 2PM. Doug will be laid to rest at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
Doug will be remembered as a devoted family man, friend to many, and someone willing to get in 'good trouble'. He will be dearly missed.
The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of a contribution to: Four Diamonds , National MS Society , YWCA Lancaster , and The Mix Lancaster .
