Douglas "Michael" Barley, 28, of Conestoga lost his battle with addiction on March 9, 2017. Born in Lancaster he was a son of Douglas Barley of Conestoga and Cynthia (Ries) Barley of Mt. Joy. Michael was known as the life of the party and enjoyed playing the guitar, cooking and spending time with his friends. He had many talents and was an avid pool player and his greatest joy was caring for his son Atticus. In addition to his parents Doug and Cindy, he is survived by his son Atticus Savage Barley, two brothers Tyler Barley husband of Katie and Christopher Barley both of Conestoga; maternal grandparents Rudy and Jacqueline Ries of Lancaster; paternal grandparents Earl and Blanche Barley of Conestoga; one niece Peyton Barley; aunt Erica Ries of Lancaster and several great aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 2PM from the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be held in Conestoga United Methodist Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 11AM until the time of his service at the funeral home.
