Dorothy M. Spinello, 91, of Lancaster, died peacefully at Lancaster General Hospital on November 13, 2008. She was born on March 21, 1917 in Lancaster, PA. She was the daughter to the late Joseph and Minnie (Grim) Geraci. Dorothy was wife of the late Joseph J. Spinello who preceded her in death in 1997.

Dorothy was of the Catholic faith and was a longtime member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

Dorothy was a silk mill worker. She was formerly employed by Stehli Silk Mill and Frank Ix and Sons. She worked hard and was always a loyal employee.

Dorothy was a member of AMVETS. Her two favorite hobbies were dancing and playing bingo. She loved cooking, especially for her entire family. She was a caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and always wanted to be surrounded by her close family and friends.

Surviving her are five children, son Joseph C. Spinella husband of Ann L. of Lancaster, son Patrick Spinello of Lancaster, daughter Mary Theresa Brill of Lancaster, son Anthony Spinello husband of Jordana of Quarryville, and son Richard M. Spinello of Lancaster, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph Geraci and Charles Geraci, both of Lancaster.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dorothy's Christian Prayer Service from the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 11am with Rev. Daniel Mitzel. Greeting time with the family will be from 10-11am.
