Dorothy Schickling Beck, 91, of Lancaster died Tuesday at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Columbia she was the daughter of the late John and Susan McCune Schickling. She was married to Goddard F. Beck Sr. for 66 years.

Dorothy retired after 15 years as a clerk at Longeneckers Drug Store.  During WWII she worked at Hamilton Watch and Lancaster Electronics Laboratories.

Dorothy was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

Surviving besides her husband are four sons: Goddard F. Jr. married to Willanne Beck of Seattle; Stephen T. married to Rita Beck of Lancaster; Thomas A. married to Lorraine Beck of Landisville; Michael G. married to Constance Beck of Landisville; three daughters; Suzanne M. married to Keith Hoke of New Cumberland; Kathleen L. Beck of Lancaster and Francine B. married to Thomas Moyer of Lancaster; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W. Walnut, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Wednesday April 18, 2007 at 11:00am. Private family Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Columbia.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Dorothy's memory to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry St., Columbia, PA 17512 or to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
