Dorothy S. Mowery, 92, passed away on Saturday morning, July 20, 2013 at Brethren Village where she had been residing. She was the wife of the late G. Richard Mowery, who passed away in 2007. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late David and Stella Hershour Smythe. Dorothy had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Loren Braner of Lancaster for 20 years, retiring in 1983. She enjoyed square dancing for over 50 years, being a member of the Grand Squares and the Do-Pas-O Group from Lititz. She also loved to travel. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Lancaster. Dorothy is survived by her son, Timothy R. married to Jan Mowery of Florida, her 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teri Ann Diehm, and by her brother, Granville D. Smythe. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Dorothy's Funeral Services on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 2PM from the chapel at Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA .
