Dorothy E. Hagelgans, 98, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy. She was the wife of the late Harold H. Hagelgans who passed away in 1981. Born in Lancaster she was a daughter of the late Frank and Martha (Aberts) Gable. Dorothy and her late husband owned and operated D & H Seafood at Lancaster's Central Market for many years prior to their retirement. She enjoyed going to the casino in Atlantic City and spending time with her family. Dorothy was the last of her immediate family. She is survived by a son Harold H. Hagelgans husband of Doris of Lancaster; three grandchildren Dorothy "Dottie" Swinehart, Donna Russell, Gary Hagelgans; one great grandchild Sarenah Swinehart. Dorothy was preceded in death by a son Larry E. Hagelgans; one grandchild Denise Hugar; four brothers Frank, Charles E. "Chip", Walter and Robert Gable and six sisters Catherine Palmer, Ethel Orschger, Elsie Carl, Florence Younger, Margaret Hieland and Betty Zook.
