Dorothy J. "Dotty" Burkhart, 93, lifelong resident of Lititz, died peacefully at Moravian Manor on Monday, July 20, 2015. She was born in Lititz to the late Levi and Mary (Crawford) Yerger. Dotty was the wife of the late John A. Burkhart, who died in 2005. Dotty worked as a technician for RCA, and was a member of Lititz Moravian Church. She enjoyed crocheting, latch hook and knitting. In her younger years Dotty enjoyed bowling and she operated a beauty shop. She loved her Airedale dogs, traveling in her retirement and sharing her sharp memories of the 1930's and 40's. Surviving Dotty are several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Dotty was preceded in death by two brothers, Jacob and Charles Yerger. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015, at the Spacht-Snyder Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 127 S. Broad St., Lititz, PA 17543, with Rev. Clyde Martin officiating. Dotty's family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment in Moravian Cemetery.
