Dorothy R. Dommel, of Manor Care, 100 Abbeyville Rd., Lancaster, formerly of 72 Sun Rise Ave., left this world to be with her Loving Savior Jesus Christ the Lord on May 16 ^th , 2007.

She was the wife of Elmer B. Dommel. They celebrated their 59 ^th wedding anniversary June 19 ^th .

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Matthew W. Haas and Regina Voll Hass. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, William, Raymond, Clayton, Charles, Phillip and one sister, Lillian Hass Seber, all of Lancaster.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters, Elaine C., wife of John Wenger, Lancaster, and Dawn M., wife of J. Roy Glick of Lancaster, 4 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Lancaster Catholic High School. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Lancaster.

In her earlier years, she enjoyed dancing and was member of the Berger Bowling Club. She worked at Slaymaker Lock Co. prior to her marriage. She was a dedicated wife and wonderful mother.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 6-8PM at the Charles Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA, and again on Monday at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA  from 1030-11AM, with Mass to follow at 11AM. Interment in Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery.
