Dorn Leo Clare Sr., 87, of Lancaster, passed away, Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster Essa Flory Center after a long illness. Born in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Jonas and Mahala (Rarick) Clare. Dorn was the husband of the late Lenore (Davis) Clare who died in May 2004.

Dorn proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army with the military police in Alaska. After his service, he was employed by Sears Automotive Center until his retirement. He was employed by Davis and Son part time after his retirement. Dorn was a member of Strasburg Assembly of God Church. Dorn enjoyed NASCAR, flea markets, and collecting toys.

Dorn is survived by 2 sons; Dorn Clare Jr. husband of Frances of Lancaster, and Alan Clare husband of Laura, and a grandson, Ryan Clare.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz Pa 17543 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Thiboldeaux Officiating. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home before the service from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park.
