Doris N Torres, 70 of Lancaster Pa passed away at the Mount Joy Hospice Center Tuesday July 11, 2023. After battling a chronic illness Doris has been a permanent Resident in Lancaster since 1987. She was proceeded in death by her Parents C. Helen and Manuel S. Torres of Lancaster Pa and Jose Martinez of Houston Tx as well as 4 older brothers and grandson Angelo B.Torres of Lancaster

She is survived by 6 siblings and 2 reside in Lancaster Pa, Manuel Torres and Ricky Torres In addition to her siblings she is survived by her 5 children Eduardo Alicea Jr spouse (Lourdes Alicea) of Cleveland Ohio, Helen Tellado spouse( David Tellado) Talmage Pa, Claudine Torres (Richard Taylor) East Petersburg Pa, Miguel B Torres, Lancaster Pa and Dianna Roman Stroudsburg Pa.

She was blessed with a large family growing up and again by her children who she raised and cared for on her own. She had 23 grandchildren ; Eduardo M , Lucy , Antonio ,Corina , Luis , David D, Merrasha , Jasiah,Isaias, RJ, Qwan, Mark- Anthony, Tierra, Paige, Lierra , Bernard, Peyton, Johnathan Jr, Miguel, Enysiss, Faith, Simara and Miguel- as well as 20 great grandchildren and extensive extended family.

Doris worked 14 years at CVS Corporation, as Head Pharmaceutical Technician for Lititz Pike 24hour store and later moved to the East Lemon St location for 2 years years prior to being forced into retirement due to illness. Doris will be forever remembered for her strength laughter and her free firey spirit, spending time with her family, and friends. She could always be found with a smile and an open door and open arms to all friends and family. She had the gift of giving love, hope and a helping hand to even a stranger. who needed it.

She loved Music and Singing Kareoke and Dancing as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren and having a good laugh. She made this world a happier interesting place. We will forever miss the goodness she brought to this world.
