Doris June Singer completed her journey that started in 1929. The daughter of the late Dorothy M. Rutt-Heisey and Ray Rutt, Doris graduated from Elizabethtown High School and married her husband of 66 years, Samuel W. Singer. Moving to Lancaster, Doris became active at Saint Peters Lutheran Church, the Penn Laurel Girl Scouts Council, American Cancer Society and other civic organizations. After being a stay-at-home mother, Doris worked in several physicians' offices, retiring from Ophthalmological Associates of Lancaster Ltd. Heart-broken, Sam will continue life's trek they shared together. They have a son; Bradley Ray Singer married to Becky Kauffman. Their son, Toby Chanz Singer is her only grandson and is a junior at Penn Manor High School. Doris was preceded in death by her younger brother Donald R. Rutt. However, Aunt Dee Dee was fortunate to know her brother's daughter, Courtney Rosenblatt of New York and her nephew, Peter Rutt who resides in Stroudsburg, PA. Celebrate life and reflect upon Doris June Singer, as you remember her. A private sacrament will be held for immediate family members only.
