Doris M. Rowe, 88, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Conestoga View. She was the loving wife to the late Lester F. Rowe, Sr. to whom she would have been married to for 66 years. Born in Lititz, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Anna (Wertman) Mummau. Doris loved to crochet, cook, read, play games, and listen to country music. Doris especially loved to listen to Elvis Presley. She loved animals, especially bunnies, but most of all loved her dog and cat, "Candy." Doris will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Doris is survived by her 5 loving children; Paul D. Cramer husband of Jennifer of Colorado, Alan Cramer husband of Debra of New Providence, PA, Lester Rowe, Jr. husband of Joyce, Terry Pletz wife of Bob, and Brian Rowe husband of Christine all of Lancaster, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by an infant daughter and her 4 sisters; Lorraine, Elenore, June, and Evelyn. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA. Family and friends will be received for a viewing from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
