Obituary

Doris Anne Moore, 78, of Leona Ave., Lancaster, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. Bowen and Gertrude Coble Hardy. She was the wife of Charles R. Moore and had celebrated 33 years of marriage on December 29th.

Mrs. Moore was an assistant General Supervisor of Reporting Services and Data Entry at Armstrong for 30 years retiring in December 1983. She was a 1945 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and was very active there especially in the United Methodist Women of Otterbein Church. She also was a past member of the Historic Lancaster Walking Club and the Lancaster Post Card Club.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her children: Brent L. Stoll, married to Kathy of Neffsville, and Lynne M., married to Patrick Lynch of Neffsville; stepchildren, Holly M, married to Greg Carpenter of Lancaster, Thomas L. Moore of Wrightsville, Gary B. Moore, married to Susan of Lancaster, and Steven C. Moore, married to Darlene of Rothsville; 5 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; one great grandson; and a step sister, Carole Ekstrom of Casper, Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by twin sisters, Connie E. and Sally G. Bowen.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 20 E. Clay St., Lancaster, at 11AM. Friends may be received at the church from 10AM until the time of service. Interment will be held privately. Please omit flowers; memorial contributions may be made in Doris' memory to Otterbein United Methodist Church Endowment Fund. Arrangements by Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, Lititz.
