Mcdonald
July 14, 1930 – October 13, 2024
Doris May McDonald, age 94, of Parrish, Fl and Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 14, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA to the late William and Ella R. Doris was a treasured wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She graduated from Roxborough High School in 1948. A few years later, she married Edward and together they served the New Holland community for over 25 years with Edward's law practice. Together she and Edward were fans of Polka music and were Polka dancers with the Dutchland Polkateers and Reading Polka Squire Dancers. Something Doris enjoyed into her 80's. Doris' world revolved around her family. Spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her immense joy. She also enjoyed tracing her family's heritage and genealogy.
Her love will live on in all who knew her including her six children: Denise L., wife of Richard Wisniewski of Parrish, FL, Michael E. McDonald, husband of Brenda of Lancaster, Thomas E. McDonald, husband of Linda of Calabash, NC, Karen A. Gigliotti, wife of the late Samuel Gigliotti of Lititz, Janine M., wife of Jeffrey Hallman of Reinholds, and Beth A., wife of George Cramer, of Ephrata, a former son-in-law she held very dear to her, Bernard J. Wagg, husband of Maria of Sarasota, FL, and a close former daughter-in-law, Dana McDonald of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, as well as 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren with 2 additional on the way, and her and Edward's favorite polka musician, Steve Zelenak, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, a brother, William R. Hadfield, and a grandson, Matthew S. Jeffries.
