Donald E. Mimnall, Sr., 78, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center.  Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late James and Mary (Danz) Mimnall.  Don was the loving husband of the late Nancy (Buckwalter) Mimnall, who passed away in 2000.

Don served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  He worked as a distributor and clerk for Alcoa, Inc.  His favorite television shows were Seinfeld and Lawrence Welk.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and card games.  Don took pleasure in family vacations at Wildwood Crest and spending time with his grandchildren.  He always put family first.

Surviving are three sons: Donald E. Mimnall, Jr., husband of Deborah, Kenneth M. Mimnall, and Michael A. Mimnall all of Lancaster; four grandchildren: Matthew Mimnall of  Danville, Sarah Mimnall of Lancaster, Rebecca Mimnall of Washington D.C., and Caitlin Mimnall of Quarryville; and two brothers: James Mimnall, husband of Dolly, of Millersville and Kenneth Mimnall, husband of Joan, of Conestoga.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E.
