Donald M. "Jim" Drucker, 89, of Calvary Fellowship Homes, Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 15, 2014.
Born in Staten Island, NY, he had been a resident of Lancaster for 28 years. He was the husband of the late Marion I. (Hollands) Drucker, who passed away November 19, 2013. They had been married 63 years. He was the son of the late Maximillan and Amy (Harrigan) Drucker.
Jim was a Police Officer for the Port of New York Authority and later worked and retired from Proctor & Gamble Manufacturing Company. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Lancaster.
He served for three years with the 8th Armored Division in WWII and four years in the Naval Reserve.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his children: Douglas R. and his wife Dr. Carol R. Drucker of Houston, TX and a daughter, Dawn P. and her husband Kenneth C. Larsen of Lancaster; five grandchildren and their spouses: Kerri Rogers (Paul), Krista Schwartz (Aaron), Robert Larsen (Kim), Jonathan Drucker (Erin) and Jeffrey Drucker, fiancé of Kirbie Haynes; and 11 great-grandchildren: Emma, Jillian, Michael, Andrew, Ava, Wesley, A.J., Lewis, Athan, Graham, and Emme. He was preceded in death by a sister, Adele Podlucky.
Memorial services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601 with Dr. Michael Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Burial with full military honors will be at 9 AM prior to the service in the church's memorial garden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church at the address above, or to Calvary Fellowship Homes, 502 Elizabeth Dr., Lancaster, PA 17601.
The family would like to thank the staff of Calvary Fellowship Homes for the compassionate care and support they gave to Jim during his time there.
