Donald R. Berkstresser, 79, of Nottingham, died at LGH on Saturday, May 19, 2018. He was the husband of Mary Ann (McVay) Berkstresser, who died in 1995, and for over 20 years to Gladys G. (Jones) Berkstresser.

He worked as a Clerk for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Johnstown. Most recently, Don worked at Buck Hardware.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Born in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Leonard and Lois (Laidig) Berkstresser. In addition to Gladys, he is survived by Beth Snyder of Ebensburg, Kevin married to Lottie Berkstresser of North Carolina, Kyle married to Dr. Kristie Berkstresser of Lancaster and Robert Evans of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a brother, Leonard Berkstresser of California. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Amy Kessler and Kathy Lee.

There will be a Celebration of Don's Life on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 5:00 PM in the Bachman Funeral Home, 7 South Decatur street, Strasburg, PA. The family will greet friends from 4:00 until 5:00 PM. Interment will be in Johnstown, at the convenience of the family.
