Dolores J. Mellinger, 69, of Mount Joy, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Lancaster General Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born in Lancaster, Dolores was the daughter of the late Lloyd and June (Lawrence) Hunt. She was the wife of the late Gerald L. Mellinger. A graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, Dolores worked as a bookkeeper for Goodwill. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed crocheting, reading, and playing games, especially Pinochle. More than anything, Dolores loved her children and grandchildren. Dolores is survived by her two children: Ronald J. Miller, husband of Deborah, of Holtwood and Tammy Laukhuff, wife of Bradley, of Mount Joy. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Lindsey and Kaitlyn Miller, and Megan, Bryce, and Taylor Laukhuff; and a brother, Thomas Lawrence, of Seguin, TX. Dolores was preceded in death by two siblings: Lawrence and Susan Hunt. Memorial Services for Dolores will be private.
