Dolores E. (Kohler) Hess, 71, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014, at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. She was born in Lancaster to the late Richard G. and Mabel L. (Martin) Kohler. Her high school sweetheart and husband of 49 years Ronald H. Hess died November 4, 2013.

Dolores graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School and worked in staff administration for John Hancock Insurance Company. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.

She enjoyed attending car shows with Ron, crocheting, knitting and lunch with her girlfriends. Dolores wanted to be everyone's mom. She loved being with her family and taking care of her grandchildren.

Dolores is survived by three sons, Robert J. Hess, Thomas A., husband of Amy (Wielgolinski) Hess and Donald G. Hess, all of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Erin, Cassidy and Thomas II; and her sisters-in-law Peggy Hohenwarter and Betty, wife of Sam Moyer.

Mass will take place 10:30 AM Friday, November 14, 2104, at St. John Neumann, Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. Dolores's family will receive friends 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Friday at the church. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
