Dolores M. "Dee" Buchter, 79, of Strasburg, passed away at her residence on Thursday, May 9, 2024. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Doris M. Roth Rutt.

Dee was a proud graduate of Manheim Township High School, class of 1962. She previously attended Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Kill, Lititz. Dee started her early career in retail with Watt & Shand in downtown Lancaster in the 1960's, then again in the 1990's where she worked with a buyer. She then transitioned into the hospitality industry where she spent many years as a hotel innkeeper and Amish attraction tour guide before her retirement. In her free time Dee loved to travel, especially to the beach. She was known for her great sense of humor and being strong willed. Dee appreciated good movies, her favorites TV shows, being I Love Lucy and The Beverly Hillbillies. When the weather was warm, she could be found gardening, but her greatest love was for her cats.

Surviving are three children: Victoria M. Danz and her companion Ray, Debra J. Buchter, L. Philip Jr. husband of Jennifer Buchter, grandchildren, Hannah E. Buchter, Josh Cruz and Brandon Torres, Chelsie Axe, Katelyn Hoffner, Krystal Buchter, Josef Bromhead, Kevin Smith, and her great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her step daughter, Denise Bromhead. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dee's Memorial Service at Bachman Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 7 South Decatur St, Strasburg, PA 17579 on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 11:00.
