Dieufort Este, 88, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Conestoga View Nursing Home. He was the loving husband of the late Viergemene (Duclairon) Este.

Born and raised in Haiti, he was a son of the late Louis and Therese (Zamor) Este.

Before coming to the United States in 2010, Dieufort was an educator who taught elementary school for 20 years. He owned farm property in Haiti and spent his life growing fruits and vegetables.

He is survived by his five children; Joel Este, husband of Suze Possible of Kissimmee, FL, Gerard Este of Lancaster, Nadege Este of Lancaster, Jean-Pierre, husband of Marie Marcelle of Lancaster, Olguine Este of Lancaster; and five grandchildren: Cardiana Este, Woodmano Este, Shaina Este, Nadgie Este and Hadassa Este. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by all of his siblings.

There will be a service on Sunday, March 17 at 11am at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The family will receive guests from 9-11 am at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster.
