Diane Helen Young, 68, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on February 25, 2025. Born on January 25, 1957, in Rochester, Minnesota, she was the daughter of the late John Joseph Franckowiak and Helen Teresa Mandel.

Diane was a 1974 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School. She built a dedicated career as a medical transcriber at the Allergy and Asthma Center in Lancaster, where her hard work and attention to detail were deeply valued.

Diane was a proud mother and always supported her children, never missing a cheerleading or band event. Her love extended beyond her family to the many animals she adopted and cared for over the years. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her loving partner of 25 years, John Kuyper; her children, William Castor and Jenelle Young; her brother, John Franck (Stephanie) of Saratoga Springs, NY; nephews, John and Matthew Franck of Saratoga Springs, NY; and nieces, Rachel Franckowiak of North Branford, CT, and McKenzie Franck of Saratoga Springs, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William Joseph Franckowiak.

A celebration of Diane's life will be held in early summer. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of Lancaster ( https://humaneleague.org ) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ( https://www.stjude.org ), honoring her love for animals and children.
