Diane C. Hourican, 69, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mildred O'Rourke. After attending nursing school in NY, Diane began her nursing profession, devoting her life to the care of others over the course of the next 35 years as a Registered Nurse. One of the stops on that journey was a 20 year career of care at Hospice & Community Care in Lancaster. She enjoyed gardening, taking walks, listening to music, and being with her friends. One of her greatest treasures was playing with her granddaughters and watching her grandson play sports. Diane was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church for many years. She is survived by her son, Kevin P. married to Renee Hourican of Wellesley, MA; her 3 grandchildren Dillon, Jennie, and Emma; her sister Judy married to Glenn Cisek of Hicksville, NY and by her nieces Christine and Kerry, her nephew Sean and her sister-in-law Arlene O'Rourke. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael E. and her brother Brian O'Rourke. Friends will be received on Monday, August 31, 2015, from 1-2PM at the Chapel at Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA, with the Memorial Service to follow at 2PM.
