IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diane Elizabeth
Hostetter
August 11, 2024
Diane Elizabeth Hostetter (née Mitchell), age 45, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. Born in Lancaster, Diane was the daughter of the late John and Judith (Bangert) Mitchell. Diane was a devoted mother, loving wife, and incredible friend to so many.
After graduating Manheim Township High School in 1997, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Science and Technology from James Madison University. During this time, she studied abroad in London and also lived abroad with her parents during school breaks in both London and Turin, Italy. She later achieved a Master of Education from Drexel University.
Diane enjoyed traveling the world with the beach being her happiest place. More than anything though, she cherished time spent with family and friends, especially her son Michael, the center of her world. Diane was wonderful company with a quick sense of humor, and an even quicker supportive comment, hug, or kind word. She was committed, loyal, and loving to all that knew and loved her. She was always thinking of others and was always present to send a text, call, or visit when someone needed her. Diane truly radiated love, joy, and endless positivity. She always had a smile, even when the going got tough, and the most incredible and infectious laugh. To know her was to love her.
Diane is survived by her devoted husband, Jesse Hostetter of Lititz; her son Michael Harris; children Caleb Hostetter and Cecelia Hostetter (Alex); her brother, Dan Mitchell (Kate) and nephew Wyatt of Bluffton, SC as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins with a special place in her heart for cousin Katrina Mitchell.
Family will receive friends on August 31, 2024 at Highland Presbyterian Church, 500 E Roseville Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601 at 10am, with a celebration of life to begin at 11am. Burial will be held privately by the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan Counseling Center.
